Well Tim.

Here is the photo I was referring to, though it is not a Scout Car installation.

It is the wireless setup installed in the No. 1 Armoured Train built here in Winnipeg at the CNR Transcona Shops in 1942. Sorry it is not great quality, but it does show the two panels covering the RX and PSU/TX modules I mentioned.

The RX cover is stencilled 'WIRELESS SET (CANADIAN) NO. 9' 'RECEIVER'
The PSU cover is stencilled 'WIRELESS SET (CANADIAN) NO. 9' 'POWER UNIT'
The TX cover is stencilled 'WIRELESS SET (CANADIAN) NO. 9' 'SENDER'

Looks like a headset bracket mounted to front centre of the table and a factory tag still tied to the upper left corner of the RX. Not sure what the cylinder mounted on the top right is, perhaps an antennae tuning unit of some form.

Looking closely at the scanned image, there might actually be separate covers for both the PSU and TX.

Cheers, and keep up the great work!

David
