Yes i have thought about that concept but also thought about the fuel so went for gas the trouble im having at the moment is bending the aluminium round it keeps springing back
even though i bent it round a formerand held it for a fortnight out in the sun and still it tries to spring back needed putting through some rollers i expect i wonder if rolf has looked inside his . he has the real thing and it must be the only one i reckon.

When you have your aluminum shaped,warm it up with an oxy-acetylene flame,heavy on the acyetlene so that it is a large smokey flame..go all over the metal quickly and let cool...Then the aluminum will keep the shape and remove the original "memory"..
Use this method for any aluminum sheet shaping ,weather it is body panels for aircraft or autos..
Let me know how it turns out..
It works immediately as it cools so you will know right away..
Try it on a small piece first until you are comfortable with the process..
