Default CCKW 270 , C60X and Staghound Engines

Hanno
I have been trying to find out the differences in the above engines . I have just about finished a CCKW and would like to start on a C60X in the future .
I have taken 270 's out of a wrecked C60X and a CCKW and they were Staghound engines having the left and right engine numbers eg, ACR 4249 and ACL XXXX ( lost the note it was written on ).
The main difference I could see with the staghound eng , was the crank was longer in the front to support the twin pully harmonic balancer and the rear main cap had 4 bolts instead of 2 .
Main bearings seemed to be identical .
Exhaust manifolds were obviously different between the three vehicles , with the exhaust outlet on a CCKW coming straight down , the staghound out the front of the engine and the C60X on an angle to the rear of the vehicle .

Common parts between a 270 and a CMP 216 are the water pump , distributor , camshaft timing gear , front engine mount , timing cover , harmonic balancer ( cckw ) fuel pump , thermostat housing ( not outlet ) cam followers , exhaust valves , valve guides .

I have a std staghound block that I would like to rebuild and would like to know what the differences are before I start .
Would appreciate any info .
