Like Andrew said, C29SR is indeed Lynx 2, the C298SR in the title is confusing.
Legend:
C - Canadian design;
2 – 1942 model year;
9 - 95-bhp engine;
S - ?? ("special", as you say?)
R - rear mounted engine;
