I checked the link and wonder of wonders, the MRZR is just about the same size and performance as a WWII Jeep. This is more powerful, but it is interesting how the needs of the soldier have perpetuated and manifested almost the same way twice.

I made a little comparison spreadsheet to confirm my suspicions.
The MRZR is 500 lbs lighter than the MB, has twice the capacity, is effectively the same dimensions, but has a 2' longer wheelbase. The MRZR is a 2 cylinder turbo charger 875cc engine with 88 versus 60 horses. The suspension is 4-wheel independant and gives 11 inches of ground clearance versus maybe 8 inches. The gas tank tiny at 7 1/4 gallons, and wheels are 9x14's. I imagine the ride is good and hope the fittings are worth the sticker price. Although it is hard to find an equivalent, the retail price of one of these is somewhere around CA$21,000.
