Good day,
The seller only says that it is a 1940 Ford and 1942 trailer, he doesn't say anything about it being ex army even though they both would have been .
I saw the combination at a car show many years ago and it had been driven there, I got the impression he drove it to all the shows he attended which would account for the used look of the engine bay. The truck and trailer are both a long way from original but still well restored and nice to look at. I was impressed that the owner was able to get it registered.
Having said that, I think he is a bit optimistic with the price, but you have to start somewhere. I don't know the seller.
Cheers Ken
