On the cab 11 there is absolutely no space to move the gas tank forth or aft and the same should apply to the cab 13 wheel base set up.
Hanno that is exactly what we reproduced using dimension from modern 12 volt batteries in the 35 size series.

My memory of the process is that we started with the drawings on Phil Waterman's web site for the lengthwise box and turned it 90 degrees to make the long dimension lateral and the short dimension longitudinal, keeping the hold-down centered. Slight modifications were made to dimensions (eg. height to better clear the terminals when the lid was tightened down) to fit a modern group 34 battery (frequently in Chrysler products) which seemed a good compromise for size and capacity.
