I agree Mike, definitely spray painted. Edges were supposed to be brush painted, as seen on other examples. This was later stipulated in Jan '42 directive: "All edges are to be kept sharp, it may be necessary to paint the boundary between two colours to obtain sharp definition."

It's possible the whole car was resprayed at the time, eg: AWM 008503. MALAYA, 1941-07. AN ARMY LORRY GETS A COAT OF CAMOUFLAGE.

Definitely Chev but looks like 1940 model to me. I'm no Chev expert though!
