Not really. The No.9 set was 41" wide, and where on earth would you put the batteries? (12V 125AH)
I'm fairly sure that's a W.S. 1 (British), the shiny disc is the original nickel plated brass watch holder, to the right are two headphone sockets with plugs in, above that is the Reaction control knob and aerial terminal in the top right hand corner.
It's in some sort of carrier, and the aerial lead (probably the earth, too) come out through the right hand side to the aerial base.
