Default Be very careful of routing of cable FIRE DANGER

Hi Terry

Whatever the original lenght you will probably want to make it longer so that you can route it so as to avoid contact with the wiring harness. Danger points are the brake light switch, starter switch and and the starter cable. Also make sure that you also use all the cable clamps to besure the cable stays where you put it and doesn't shift which is what happend in my case.

I had a wiring fire with new harness and new speedo cable on my Pat 12 C60L. Only good luck was that I was standing next to the truck when it started, parked in the shop with the other two trucks. Could have lost everything if I had not hit it with the CO2 aND dis connected the battery. It nearly burned through the flex fuel line.

When I replaced the cable after the fire I put a lot more insulation on the speedo cable.

Will look if I have good pictures of how I ended up routing the cable.

Cheers Phil
