You have the drivers manual, they usually did have the buttoned flap, mine is the workshop manual in black with embossed Vauxhall emblem. Interesting the, "Issued by V****", assume you mean the word has been obliterated? My book says Vauxhall Motors Ltd. If Vauxhall has been blanked in your book, it confirms even more now, a discussion I had on here before, where I have found data plates on wartime British vehicles and the makers name is removed just leaving the first letter. My theory was that it was an attempt to conceal the manufacturer and their location from bombing, etc.

By the way, we do drive on the right side of the road, its you guys who drive on the wrong side
