Canada's fighting vehicles, which is a reprint of a WW2 maual to give data to aid transport of FVs, offers a bit of the data you seek:
ground pressure: 6.4 pounds per square inch
length: 144 inches
width 84"
height : 63"
weight fully equipped: 9800 lbs.

I believe empty, a complete carrier is around 7800 lbs.

Edited to add this: from Bart Vanderveens book FVs directory: weight: 7910 lbs, gross weight 9774 lb, so I was pretty close. His also gives the dimensions as L=148,W=83,H=63. I recall the carrier being a very tight fit in the back of an MLVW, which has a 12 box, so between 144 to 148 would be correct. I think the little light on the bottom of the " caution:RHD sign", used to have to fit into the window hole of the front stakes, and the front tie downs hung over the talgate.

I have always transported my carriers with a one ton and a trailer. But a trip straight across Canada might make me use a shipping company. Then again you will have to get these accessories eventually.
