Canada is very large, but at the end of the day there are only one or two highways heading West to East for much of it. There are a few bottlenecks on this end of the country....the trans Canada from where it connects to the yellow head near Portage la Prairie all the way to Nipigon is a long one. It is impossible to bypass the trans-Canada for that complete length of road. Yes, you might be able to get onto a gravel side road for part of it, but in the end, everybody will see what is moving on flatbeds.
To top it off, Manitoba even has cameras situated along the highways so you can watch from the comfort of your computer rather than sitting out in the arctic like conditions.
