Hi Grant

I should point out that the axle end of my front links were broken off, a common failure. Cut them and welded on grade 8 bolts of the correct size. I put the shocks on after driving the truck for several years. I was hopping they would help eliminate the front wheel shimmy.

Not worried about welding them as over the years I welded all the link ends on my HUP as they have broken at the factory weld. Never have welded the same one twice, so figure the mean time between weld failure is 50 years, which means my welds should start breaking around 2035.
