Is there need for a what's this parts thread?

Your question / problem ".....parts manual for a 1943 F15a. The truck I bought came completely disassembled and I have parts I didn't know existed......" got me thinking your problem is not unique we all end up with parts that we cannot remember where they come from.
So let's start a thread title "What's this parts thread" with suffix of what vehicle we think it came from. Any one with a part they are unsure of would put a ruler next to the part take a picture and post it. Then our world wide net work of experts can join the fun identified the part and where it goes.
