Smile Carrier cammo

Guys, I have purched a 1942 Mk1 carrier hull # CT113354 from Jim Burill here in PA. Jim is working on getting a Humber armored car restored in the UK.So I talked him into selling me his carrier.
I have painted it CC#2 we had a NOS part to color match the paint. Now the ???? I saw that ACI1496 authorised CC#14 as the main tone over CC#2 Would this be correct for a 42 mfg. carrier.
Or should I just leave it CC#2 with no cammo at all????
And if I do cammo the carrier which cammo pattern is correct.
mickey mouse or the bold stripes.
Also I saw some carriers with the tricolor red white red allied markings on them and some with the U.S. star Which is correct for a 1942. Here in the US if you put a star on a M.V. the public thinks it's a U.S. M.V.
Thanks,
