This is what the handle attaches to. At the other end of the rod is an arm that connects to the selector valve handle . The whole unit is quite long as it travels from the driving compartment through the division plate all the way back to the rear armour plate . It runs along the floor plate , goes under the radiator, the floor of the engine compartment right to the rear plate . I sourced this rare , hard to find and original part from Super Dave in Edmonton. I was there for an exercise in early 2016 and met with Dave and Reg Hodgson . At the time Dave was working on his very nice MK I Carrier and he had leftover MKII specific parts. He also contributed a whole set of MKII engine compartment doors in fine condition .
