The Jeeps are very prone to rust particles causing them to flood out. I recommend a proper inline fuel filter in the rubber line between the frame and the fuel pump. At the same time, remove the top portion of the fuel pump (about 10 screws I think?) and clean out any particles that are in there.



If you lift the top off the carb, the rust will show as a very fine red sand in the bottom of the fuel bowl. It is incredible how the very minute particles can cause so much problem. The coarse fuel filter in the tank will not catch the fine particles.
