Funny how what looks simple to fix can become a bigger then expected job to tackle. I think you are not taking into account stretching of the sheet metal while getting dented so that has to be taken in considered. You can make a form and inflate to see if that has any effect but you may have to go slightly oversize to bring back to original (no dented) dimensions. As you do not intend to fill with fluids and that they are just display pieces I would open the bottoms, dolly out what you can, maybe invest some time in making male/female dies from MDF and a pipe with the corner edge radius to press out the corners. Devcon epoxy the bottoms back in place (or solder).
