I'm not sure whether Schramm made 4 cylinder versions or only the 8 cylinder versions. The manuals I've seen were for compressors based on the 60HP Ford v-8 rather than the 85 or 95 HP used in carriers and CMPs.
My age is starting to show - I think I recall kits advertised in Popular Mechanics, Mechanics Illustrated or similar for do-it-yourself conversions. I've no idea who the maker would have been.
Later, Schramm produced more conventional compressors with a motor driving a compressor (as opposed to a comvertedt motor with half the cylinders converted to compressor duty).

After doing a little searching on Google it looks to be a Schramm model 60 air compressor with early Ford V-4 engine
