Default Early trouble lamp socket

A big thanks to Brian Asbury who pointed this out to me on the weekend. Having the parts I figured I would do up a post on it.

Early vehicles featured a two prong socket that had a dedicated ground wire. They also featured a unique plug with an offset pin ensuring that the plug could only fit in one direction. This dash is from my Otter. The later production used a single prong socket that grounded through the body.

Pictured is the socket both front and back.

Also pictured is the unique plug with the double contacts and off set pins.
