Default Engines

Maybe the army's own workshops couldn't keep up with the demand , and some of the jeep engine reconditioning was outsourced. It appears that P J Taylor NSW were reconditioning jeep engines .In the 1950s, the Repco bearing facility in Launceston Tasmania, was manufacturing aftermarket bearings for many obscure early car brands,, they were manufacturing car bearings in Launceston to 2016. There's a good chance Repco made L134 jeep bearings. P.J Bearings were a subsidiary of Repco.

This particular 1952 contract for C & J gears, was for over 5000 pounds . You could almost buy two houses for that amount.
