Well, it depends on how you define "use" actually.
To be more precise the Americans were the only ones to organize and field a unit equipped with M12 GMC, since in fact the first "use" of the M12 in the field was the 987th Field Artillery Battalion, attached to 5 AGRA of 30 Corps and in turn 50 Division, for NEPTUNE.
