That was a memory jogger.
I have the words to the original "Green Grow the Rushes, O", which I got from a sailor.
His home town was Bognor Regis and he and his mates were on a naval tour and had docked in Toronto. (HMS Tenby, HMS Wizard and another warship).
To my delight, they introduced me to tax-free Whitbread's and Tennent's Lager.
Haven't thought about that for ages.
