Default 155's in the Morning

Why, yes, Mike. I do indeed know this sound, having fired a few "U" TOTs with 6 M-109s, 18 105 C1s and 24 US 155 towed silver tubes. Those were the days!

I loved splitting the 800 meter bracket and recording as target ZU 1001. After the requisite time check we waited until H-hour. Target records were passed and the C/Ss reported ready in record time, as it was us lowly militia versus the regs, Cdns versus the yanks, Atlantic gunners versus 5 RALC (Rounds allover La Campagne) and Secteur L'Est versus W Bty. A little competition goes a long way, but a lot of competition really got the CPs and gun platforms running. I gotta tell you, Div Crump is Boss!

Fond memories of a bygone era. Just caught an imaginary whiff of cordite, and had to wipe a tear from me eye...

Remind me to tell about a certian Secteur L'est "drop short" while the Col Cmdt was in my OP trench...

Sheldrake/Conrod sends.
