Yes, the vendor is right, it IS a Ford.
It could a Ford G8T, which was a militarized version of the 1941-42 1 1/2 ton civilian truck.
The body is certainly US Army.
But it could be a civilian truck with the military body added afterward.
Ford of Canada built thousands of these as well.
