Trailer, Artillery, No. 27
Hi Kevin:
The best a number of us Gunner and RCEME types can figure out is that the trailer was the same and the trays were different. It is possible that the trays were part of the gun stores issued with the 17 pounder and the detachments simply removed the 25 Pr trays and sent them back into the supply system.
Please let me know if you learn anything different as I would like to have more firm detail on this question too.
