Apologies to David for again hi-jacking his thread.
In light of my comments above, I had a look at the pic posted by Keith in
this thread. The nearest carrier has TWO 5 spoke wheels, and this pic is dated "Circa 1941". Does this eliminate the possibility of the wheel being a spare part, and might instead have been fitted during production?
