Well, basically because the Irish Defence Forces use their equipment for a long time. They had four Leyland Retrievers in service from 1939 to 1979! The
National Transport Museum of Ireland also has an "Army Morris CDSW 3-axle Gun Tractor 1939" on stock.
Also because the Irish took good such good care of them during some 50 years, we now have two
Landsverk L180 armoured cars preserved in Holland.
