Whether or the Charlotte used Cdn waters to get to the North Pole or not matters less to me than our ability to track and check sub movements. As well, I doubt that the Capt of the sub will get any heat as these boats only go where they are told to go.

What matters is acting like a sovereign nation. That means having the wherewithall to ensure that anyone who wants a piece of this country pays for it one way or another. The US would never allow any foreign power's military to trespass on its soil, and we in Canada should do the same. The fact that three nations (Russians - NP22, Danes- Hans Island and the US) have already trespassed indicates that something has to be done before this gets way out of hand.

Let's make this a more important issue with the lying, cheating bastards, the Conservatives and the fringe parties. Email your MP and tell him/her/it to get out of the trough and do something for Canada for once.
