Come on 2 Jan 06...let's get over this maudlin stuff, after which the world arms their weapons, sights in, and blasts the Hell out of everyone.

Let's not be hypocrites about this time of year.

It's only a brief respite...for what is really going on...man against man, nation against nation, all defying that which is purported to be in the name of a saintly person, whose personage is embodied in the name of God.

If there really is a God, who is supposed to be so powerful and encompassing, why is there such misery around the world?...Rwanda, Indonesia, Africa, Sri Lanka, Amritsar, Tibet, tsunamis, HIV, ebola, Marburg, Katrina, al Qaeda's terrorists, Muslim extremists...must I go on?

Keep your powder dry, and adopt the 1000 yard stare.
