I purchased my Stuart for 25,000, but the inside was in rough shape, and it did not run. I had stripped it down to the hull, and had the engines bored and sleeved. My daughter then got very ill and I had to sell it. I got 35,000 for it. If I had been able to finish it, it would have sold for over 65,000. armor is very expensive, and expensive to move.
I have a buddy who owns a tractor trailer. I checked on both a Sherman and a Stuart. The main reason the Stuart is so popular is you can transport it on a regular semi, without a escort, or overweight permits. A Sherman has to have both. It cost about .75 a mile to move a Sherman.
