Vehicle Description
An all original WWII US Army issue M1 57mm Anti tank cannon. Barrel made by American Type Founders and M2 carriage made by International Harvester in Chicago, Ill. This is a late war production gun, I am basing that on the abbsence of rope hooks and footmans loops on the shield. Also some other small changes made to simplify production, like no front recovery eye and drain holes added in several spots. Data plate is missing. This gun was brought into the USA 10yrs ago from South American. It has been sand blasted and painted with Gillespie early war OD. They made 15,637 of these. Much rarer than any MB or GPW. Please note that there are some parts missing. The scope mount and landing legs and some other parts. The hardware that locks the legs together is incomplete, so I just tie rope to secure the legs together. Also one spade tip is broke off. Tool box is a tanker ammo can. Note that the inside of the barrel has pitting. Otherwise this 57mm looks great. Would tow great behind your halftrack or CCKW or WC 51. Email me at Tranham@hotmail.com or call me 615-418-2073 for questions. Buyer is responsible to arrange for pickup.

Also wanted to point out that the wheel bearings have been checked and looked brand new. They have been greased up. Added some pictures of the gun sandblasted. The gun has no pitting except inside the barrel and on the sleigh under the barrel. There is no breech ring or breech. This is inert and not a firearm.
