Agenda Items Discussed
Uncle Bill provided some forthright advice on the "care and feeding" of Bombarier's best jeep. It was unfortunate that our local Iltis (Iltii?) owners did not join us.
He also chatted about the intelligence network that they set up in NB to report on CMP locations - works well!
Bob chatted about the August BBQ in Hammond - affectionately known as BB1 - Dates TBC. He also threatened to visit Southern Ontario in the near future - y'all been warned!
Brian provided some insight into VW engines and their machinations (we are going to show him a CMP wreck, er, restoration project in the near future...the web closes in...
Alex collected $ for manuals provided to the gathering and spoke at length about axle grease and its many uses.
Clive chatted about upcoming book projects and the waitresses' attire.
I limited my remarks to all connotations of the word "retire".
Emily, a CA to be, accounted for all consumables and collected considerably more than the menu quoted...
Not a bad evening. Next time we need Bill to come out of his shell and tell us what he really feels about restorations.
Clive has to improve his attire.
Bob will have to provide sunglasses to prevent temporary blindness of the gathering.
Alex will have to break out some of his "secret" blueprint stashes. Brian will have to get a CMP project underway.
And yours truly will have to send a personal invite to the other Ottawa area hobbiests to join us at the next meeting, which is sure to be announced in the near future.

Why is it that when you have the $$, you don't have the time, and when you have the time you don't have the $$?
