And Col, I heartily agree with your sentiments - I think what John has done is nothing short of remarkable, and the fact he's set it up as a museum at great personal cost just to ensure the our history remains alive is a huge credit to him.
There should be a sign at the gate on auction day barring scrappies from entering. The ultimate irony would be for things John saved from being scrapped in 1960 because of their intrinsic value to be scrapped now.
