PS: Phil, a suitable toast is simple. Standing with one's glass raised, it's "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Queen". They respond by standing and echoing "The Queen" before drinking.

In Military Messes, during Dinings-in or other auspicious occasions, "The Queen" is proposed by the PMC, the response is in the other official language. Quel dommage!
