Brekky
Our daughter is just about to start Catering College at 16 and she could eat Max's brekky there plus Max in five minutes! We really must get her weight down, but she does a really meam ALL DAY BREAKFAST which she learned at College on day-release from school last year. So that's eggs, beans, sausages, fried bread, black pudding, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, plus toast and tea. I have just had some of Danielle's Apple Crumble and I can't eat a thing more today. She wants to be a chef, and I think she'd eat all the food she cooked myself.
Last year we suddenly got into buying Scotch pancakes and then French Crepes which we can buy made up in the chiller at the supermarket. To go on the pancakes we looked for syrup and whereas the sugar-based 'maple flavour' squeezy stuff was all right, nothing went down better than genuine Canadian Maple Syrup but boy what a price! I have however never ventured to buy a jar of Kraft Vegemite....Marmite is as near as I have got to it. Dave, didn't we first hear of Vegemite in the song by Men At Work when they talk of chundering and Vegemite sandwiches.
Personally I regret that I cannot eat eggs because of an Albumin allergy but the rest of the fry-up looks excellent, and that syrup looks as though it belongs there.
Have any of our colonial and European friends an equivalent of our All-Day Breakfast or is that a peculiar English thing?
