			That movie is called "Paths of Glory", directed by Stanley Kubrick. I thought they did a fairly good job of recreating the battlefield. The story itself was decent, I thought - doesn't the French High Command want to "stiffen the resolve" of the troops after a failed attack so decides to execute a trio of men for cowardice? Kirk Douglas is the officer who defends them at the court martial
 
 that was the one...
 the problam i had with that movie was that all the actors played cookie cutter roles.  and it was just a little overacted.
 
 now if we could get the battle of the buldge actors with the paths of glory prop guys we might have a great movie
