Hi there!
Well i'm currently helping a mate with his restoration of a Loyd carrier. It is one of a batch of 50 battery slave start carriers that arrived in 1942.
It is stripped right down to the bare chassie at the moment. With sand blasting about to start and working out what needs replacing and or repairing.
I will post photos as we progress...
Now how many still servive out there and if any of the forum members have them... in what ever condition.
As far as Australia we know of the remains of one in WA, 2 at Tamworth NSW, 1 at the RAAC museum that has been restored as a display vehicle only and not a goer and of cause our one.
And finaly for those of you who don't know what 1 looks like here is a photo.
