Brayn
Like a great many of Bovingtons vehicles, this carrier came to the museum via one of the British Army's testing and research facilities.
As a result it picked up some post -war modifications for use in this facility. I am sure others can be more specific on the exact nature of this modification.
It is however a rare mark of carrier in preservation, and even rarer being a british production vehicle. 95% of surviving carriers in the UK are Canadian production, and other than surmising that a large number survived in crates some where, no one has ever been able to give me a crediable reason why.
