Way back when.....WW1.... The Royal Flying Corps existed in Canada and recruited here. They had a variety of badges, flashes and uniforms, all particular to the Corps. Just before the end of the war (1) they became the Royal Air Force. Subsequently Canada formed the Canadian Air Force (CAF) which had a
new badge, rank and uniform system. The badges and wings, if real, are prohibitivly expensive. Britain remained with the Royal Air Force and Canada changed from CAF to RCAF. A lot of the decorative pins the RCAF issued in WW2 were a similar style to the RFC. This one probably has the hook because it attached to a bow. Possible????
(I have a large collection of RFC items)
