Probably because no-one could pronounce Rzeppa.

The correct pronounciation is "Cheppa" I seem to remember.
The other thing of note is what a beautiful piece of engineering they are to look at.
You can also pretend to be Captain Queeg once you disassemble one.
One of the less notable uses was on the
Morris 1100 - I can still remember being able to identify an old one of those on hearing it alone when one went around a corner... K-klunka-clicka-klunka, (then being enveloped in a cloud of blue smoke).
