Bombardier is the succesor company to Canadair, at least as far as the aviation end of things. Their website doesn't give immediate help about military vehicles. The Iltis was badged as Bombardier, so an appeal to the Iltis experts might get you a contact name or a suggestion about which branch of the company to approach. Bombardier has their fingers into many enterprises so it might be hard to find the right individual to talk to. Also, they have done some corporate reorganizations to muddy the water.
Try
www.bombardier.com as well as
www.brp.com (for Bombardier Recreational Products, makers of Ski-Doo, Rotax engines , Johnson outbard motors (I didn't know this until today) plus more).
Also look at
http://www.museebombardier.com/en/co...e1939_1945.htm for what the company were doing for WW2. Perhaps the museum has information that they might be willing to share about postwar ventures in the same direction? This is a bit of a long shot since Bombardier and Canadair were separate companies at the time you need information for.
