I had to make a battery box for my C8 , I had a loan of an original to copy . I did scribble up some drawings of it .

It was fairly easy to make . I found original type catches at my local hardware store , exactly the same as the WW2 ones !

Ian Richardson of Carnforth in Lancashire , is restoring a C8 , like yours . He kindly spent some time drawing up the body of Nick's C8 , when it was owned by somebody else .

Is the 1A2 body on yours original ? Or a repro . The only other one I have heard of with the original 1A2 in situ is Nick Bullock's C8 . Maybe you should visit Nick up in the wilds of Yorkshire.....
