Default Hi bob

Well I had never thought to look for evidence of the battery box location, I'd just always assumed it to be located inside the cab. But as you say the documentary evidence is thin on the ground when you come to look for it. The parts list gives little away in terms of pictures, though does mention fender mounted battery boxes on type two cabs which I take to mean the No 13 cab. then in a 1940 instruction book, Its a 1940 edition, presumably first edition and marked for ford and chevrolet! vehicles. there was the following picture. I don't ahve a scanner so the already poor picture has turned out even worse... Looking at it is hard to see which side the hindges are on since it sits on appx inch high top hat section 'side ways on' to the cab if that makes sense. presumably the driver had the catches on that side.. thought he pictures can't confirm this..

there must be an original box in situ somewhere? As for external fitment of battery box on 11/12 cab vehicles..? I don't believe I have seen any. Hope that this helps

kind regards

nick
