I hope that you find out the answer to this one.

The following photo does not show Khaki Drill (although the Battalion was about to leave for Madagascar, they didn't yet know it !)

It shows my Grandfather Dick Batchelor in March 1941 when he was R.S.M. with 2nd Northamptons.

I am not a collector of uniform but I have been unable to find a picture showing SD with the stand up collar (which looks O/R pattern) and the scalloped pockets which are more Officers pattern.

Was it perhaps something used in some units by senior N.C.O.s ?
