Default Book

I have just finished editing my pictorial book that features rebuilds, 1946-8. There will also be a large section on rebuild activities in the second of the series.

However what amazes me most I suppose is that the old FATs, which had of course got a handy winch if it was still there, were often sold off and used as agricultural tractors! In a post-war world where there were no tractors available, save ex-Army/RAF ones, it makes sense. However I would suggest that the wreckers were the most sought-after in unrebuilt condition. There were however some really oddball-looking civilianised conversions on 4x4 CMP chassis, and you will have to see the book to believe it!
