"Bertha" is also a Diamond T Model 980. She was purchased by a Northern Territory legend named Kurt Johannsen after the war. He stretched Bertha's chassis and fitted a 20' long cattle crate. Bertha usually towed two or three self tracking trailers of Johannsen's own design and thus became one of the pioneers of Australia's famous road trains.
