St George is the patron saint of England.
And I might add no holiday here in England as opposed to the patron saints day of Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Indeed diaplays of Englishness with flag flying is likely to have officialdom come calling with instructions to desist as this is apparently offensive to other groups and considered racist.
