1. That countryside looks as though it is as flat but undulating as parts of Salisbury Plain, although S.P. has grass on it in the bare areas! However, parts of the New Forest near here also look like that when the heather is dried and cut back, etc.

2. My late father-in-law was stationed at Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Medicine Head during the war at the RCAF stations when doing his pilot training. When he went back to his old haunts with his now Canadian brother, years ago, he was amazed that it is still so much as he remembered it!

3. That number I make out as DND # "40-1-713".
